Explore the forest on 2 wheels
Join our guided bicycle tour to the Rau Forest Reserve: It covers 10 15 km in the southern part of Moshi where the underground water forest of Rau allows the occurrence of different local activities including rice farming and livestock keeping. Bike rides start from the forests main gate. You will enjoy watching the black and white Colobus monkeys and extending to the rice farms some waterlogged bird species and get a chance to meet locals. If the weather permits, you will get to see Mt. Kilimanjaro.
At the end of the bicycle tour a delicious local food is provided, and you will be part of our recent campaign to save the forest: One Trip One Tree.
