The build-up to a Mara river crossing is tense and unpredictable. Thousands of wildebeest aggregate at a favoured crossing point, teasing themselves (and a few human spectators) for hours, even days. Occasionally they peer over the edge of the riverbank, dithery and indecisive, before withdrawing back into the bush. Once there, they mill around aimlessly. The level of agitation within the herd rises and falls. It regularly manifests itself in a pitched outbreak of plaintive and hysterical communal braying that ends as suddenly as it starts.T

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

Pass By: Babati, tanzania, Tarangire National Park 3134 Tanzania
Among the other common animals in the Tarangire are the leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetah that seem to be popular within the southern open areas. The wild dogs are only seen once in a while
The birds within the Tarangire are also quite many, there are over 500 species that have been identified here. The lovebirds that are yellow collared, the shy starlings are in plenty and widespread in Tanzania.

Day 2: Ngorongoro creter

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Ngorongoro conservation area. Descent into the Crater with picnic lunches for full day game drive tour around the Lerai Acacia Forest and the crater floor, looking for giant-tusked elephant, rare black rhino and the black-maned lion.
