Mount Meru 3 Day Climb in Arusha Tanzania

3-Days Meru Climb Tanzania itinerary is the short Trekking trip takes you to the summit of second highest peak mountain in Tanzania. In these 3-days Meru trek at Arusha National park you will be escorted with an armed ranger to ensure your security due to large number of wildlife all your way to the starting point. It is best recommended Package for experienced trekkers as you will have short sleeping time but long trekking duration.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Momella gate – Mariakamba Hut

Stop At: Miriakamba Hut, Tanzania
The 3-Day Trekking Mount Meru Tanzania start by driving from hotel in Arusha to Momela Gate. After a short registration at the Gate our walk will begin with full armed ranger escorting us, simply we can see along the way the wild animals including elephants, zebras, and giraffe , monkeys, antelope, and often elephants along the route.

Day 2: Hike to Saddle Hut

Pass By: Miriakamba Hut, Tanzania
To the saddle below Little Meru is a short day but a steep climb. The walk will take us slowly along the ridge for a remarkable view of the Meru Crater and the exciting Ash Cone. After hot lunch at Saddle Hut we can make a short climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for outstanding views just before sunset.

Day 3: Meru Summit to the gate and drive back to Arusha

Stop At: Arusha Village Experience, Arusha Tanzania
The final days of 3-Days Meru trek, We start early at around 1:30 a.m. to climb steeply to Rhino Point (3,800 m.) and on to Cobra Point (4350 m). We reach the summit (4,566 m) on time for sunrise. The final part of the climb is along a remarkable thin ridge line between the vertical inner faces and the slanted outer wall of the crater. We take a short rest and lunch at the Hut before continuing the descent to the Main gate where our drive will pick you and transfer to Tulia Lodge in Arusha.
