This safari is ideal for those adventure seekers who would like to explore the rift valley area in northern Tanzania. The itinerary will take you to Tarangire & Lake Manyara national parks, and UNESCO world heritage site The Ngorongoro crater. This package is inclusive of transport in a Roy Safaris custom built 4WD Safari vehicle, park fees, accommodation and meals at The Retreat at Ngorongoro.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha-Karatu

Stop At: Karatu, Karatu, Arusha Region
Your day begins early with an early pick up from your hotel within Arusha, a short pre departure info session and to your driver/guide, and a drive to Tarangire national park which is famous for its varied landscape, the giant BAOBAB trees and large numbers of Elephants amongst other wildlife species that are resident of this park. You shall have picnic lunches at a location within the park, and late afternoon drive to The Retreat at Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

The Retreat at Ngorongoro is a meticulously bird themed lodge set within 30 acres of land with clear emphasis on nature and birdlife in the area. As you walk around the lodge, you will be amazed at how nature has been integrated into this development. Day 2: Lake Manyara National park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
On this day, you shall leave the Retreat after an early breakfast, and drive to Lake Manyara national park, which sits on the floor of the rift valley, has an underground source of water flowing from Ngorongoro highlands and shares a wildlife corridor with Tarangire national park, this is truly a magnificent park. You shall visit different areas of this park including the hot springs followed by picnic lunch at HIPPO pool picnic site, and a further game drive as you exit the park late in the evening. You will drive up the rift valley escarpment to reach The Retreat at Ngorongoro just in time for sunset! Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro crater tour.

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
A truly exciting day begins with an early drive to Ngorongoro crater, a living garden of eden, and a place where you will see the BIG five! And Maasai taking their cattle for a salt lick, it is an experience that is hard to put in words! Picnic breakfast at a hippo pool area and further game drives before you start journey back to Arusha (Expected arrival time 17h00), you shall bid farewell to your driver/guide and leave Roy Safaris as your friends in Tanzania!
