Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha city to Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast in the Moshi hotel drive to Tarangire national park for afternoon game drive, overnight in Karatu town 15 km from Ngorongoro Conservation Area entry point, full board accommodation (FB).
Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania circuit. It is most famous for its ‘elephant migration’, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. In Tarangire you also see good numbers of wildebeest and zebra as well as giraffe, buffalo, Thompson's gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, eland, leopard and cheetah. You might enjoy your picnic lunch at one of the park's picnic areas and take in an unparalleled view of the Tarangire River.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend to the Crater for 8 hours game drive, ascend and drive back to Karatu Kudu Camp for overnight, full board accommodation (FB).
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. The Crater is a home of Black Mane Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Foxes and Jackals, Hyenas, and good number of herbivores like Buffaloes, Wildebeest, Zebras, Gazelles Eland and Elephant Bulls. This is the park you may see the so called the ‘Big Five’ all together!
On the other side Ngorongoro Conservation Area measuring 8,300 square kilometer and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, is the only place in the earth where mankind and wild animals co-exist in harmony.
The area provides wildlife protection status as well permits human habitation at a time. The uniqueness made the NCA the only area where man, livestock and wild animals all live together in peace. On your way you might see the Maasai cattle grazing alongside zebras and wildebeest in the grassland under 12 year boys’ care taking.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area Crater to Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
Drive to Lake Manyara national park for morning game drive, then drive back to Arusha or Moshi – half board, (BL).
Lake Manyara National Park is well known for its rarely tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake and its flamingos and ‘maji moto’ (i.e. hot spring water)! The Park has a number of elephants, so many giraffes; zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, and warthog, small known shy Kik’s dik dik as well as Klipspringer along the ramps of the escarpment. However, the Park regarded as Africa’s largest and huge herds of baboons, expected by most of the visitors.
