Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, and after a short safari briefing, you travel southwest to Tarangire National Park. The park has a diversity of landscapes including grass, acacia woodlands and forests, and it is especially popular for its huge elephant herds. Animals range from flocks of yellow breasted lovebirds to kudus, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and impalas. Predators include lions, leopards and hyenas. In the late afternoon you leave the park and travel to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania
After breakfast at your campsite, you travel to Lake Manyara National Park. The park, with its shallow alkaline lake, attracts thousands of birds, including huge flocks of flamingoes. Other wildlife include buffaloes, elephants, hippos and Masai giraffes as well as boisterous baboons and monkeys. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions. Lunch is a boxed lunch. In the afternoon you exit the park and travel to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
After an early breakfast at your campsite, you descend to stunning Ngorongoro Crater. Its grass plains and acacia forests are home to almost every species of animals living in the East African savannah. You might see the “Big Five” – these are the lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater. In the afternoon you exit the crater and return to Arusha.
