We shall take a boat to Prison island, where we shall explore together the Aldabra Giant Tortoises, learn about their style and establish friendship by feeding them. Finally, we shall refresh our day through swimming, snorkling and sun bathing at the white crystal sand with bluish clear sea water at the Sandbank.

Will take a Dhow boat from Stone-town to Prison Island (Changuu Island) which is a small island 5.6 km northwest of Stone Town, Unguja, Zanzibar. The island is around 800m long and 230m wide at its broadest point. The island saw use as a prison for rebellious slaves in 1860s and also functioned as a coral mine.

The Biggest Attraction at the Island are Aldabra Giant Tortoises. Aldabra Giant Tortoises are endemic to the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles and they do not live in the wild anywhere else in the world. This Community of Aldabra Tortoises is found in Changuu Island because they were a gift from the Seychelles Government to British resident in Zanzibar. Also at the Island you will be able to spot Peacocks and The place where Prisoners were being kept during slave trade.
