The village is very popular in mills, where you are going to see the most beautiful view of mills side by side attached. Along the way, you will see the landscape of the area. You can also see the cows and sheep. Also, we are going to ride on the dykes. Once we are on those dykes you will see the sea level of the water. Furthermore, you will see all kinds of different villages, the farmers and where the nurseries are located. Moreover, we also drive past the largest cocoa factory in the Netherlands, where chocolate is made. There are various Dutch traditional mills such as oil mill and 17th-century paint mill and wood saw mill. You will also see how the mill works.

Stop At: 1131 EK Volendam, Netherlands

Not far from Amsterdam, located on the IJsselmeer, you will find the most famous fishing village of the Netherlands: Volendam. The village is known for the beautiful harbor, the fishmonger, the authentic Dutch character and the traditional costume. In short, a fantastic destination in every season!

Upon arrival in Volendam, you will visit the cheese farm, the clog industry (and eventual you can have lunch at the best fish restaurant in Volendam). You will discover Volendam the best during a walking route such as on the dyke where you have a beautiful view of the IJsselmeer (Zuiderzee) and the harbors.

You can also sail from Volendam with a tour boat to Marken (small island) where you can see that it is a great village. Because Marken used to flood regularly, the residents built their houses on stilts and mounds. You won't find these characteristic houses anywhere else in the world. After the sail, you will be picked up from Marken and brought to Amsterdam.
