Kinderdijk is a UNESCO-listed site that boasts 19 pristinely preserved windmills. The windmills were erected in the 1600s to drain polders of the area. Kinderdijk is a small village at a distance of only 16 kilometers of Rotterdam. It is is one of the most unique sites in The Netherlands.
When you visit Kinderdijk, you 'll step right into the middle of Dutch history. You will also be able to enter two of the mills that provide you a glimpse into a miller's personal family life.
