Mountain Ksour

Tataouine is an excellent base from which to visit the fascinating ksours (communal grain storage rooms used by the nomadic Berbers). Each granary is made up of many ghorfas (rooms) resembling honeycombs with arched compartments. The mountain ksours perched high on the peaks are best seen in Cheneni, Douiret & Ksar Ouled Sultane.
