Itinerary

Day 1: Morning arrival in Istanbul; city sightseeing tour of Istanbul

Stop At: Galata Tower, Buyuk Hendek Cad. 2, Istanbul Turkey
1. Day: Morning arrival in Istanbul; city sightseeing tour of Istanbul including visit to the major attractions of the Old Town - “Sultan Ahmet” (Blue) Mosque, the second biggest mosque in the country, the old Byzantine Hippodrome – the heart of the old Constantinople; panoramic bus tour to the Asian side via the Bosphorus Bridge and a photo stop; visit to a trade center; lunch; time at leisure; opportunity for participation in optional sightseeing tours;

 Optional tour: “Christian Sanctuaries” – visit to St. Sophia Cathedral, the Bulgarian church of St. Stephan and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Built in the 4 c., St. Sophia Cathedral utterly changes the history of the world architecture. Its unique cupola rises up to 56 m in height and is 32 m wide. A magic feeling of a floating in the air cupola is created by the light admitted by the numerous skillfully built in the dome’s base. The interior contains exquisite mosaics, beautiful wall paintings and marble decorations. The cathedral has been the seat of the Eucumenical patriarch of Constantinople. Today St. Sophia is one of the most sacred places for the Christians all over the world. Visit to the renovated “St. Stephan” Bulgarian Church – unique with its architecture and historical background, as well as the Eucumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.

 Optional tour: “Istanbul by Night” – dinner & floor show;

 Optional tour: “Illumination Tour” – a night panoramic bus drive along the main boulevards of Istanbul; crossing over to the New European side via Galata Bridge over the Golden Horn; visit to a fish market; continue to the Asian part of the city via the first bridge on the Bosphorus – photo stop for the night lights of the city;

Day 2: Forum Istanbul

Stop At: Istanbul Sea Life Aquarium, Kocatepe Mah. Pasa Cad Forum Istanbul, No: 5/5, Istanbul 34045 Turkey
2. Day: Breakfast; time at leisure;

 Optional tour: “Between Asia & Europe” – a picturesque motor boat cruise along the Bosporus separating the European side with the historical Old Town from the Asian side with its modern living quarters; shopping in the Egyptian Bazaar also known as the Spice Market because of the abundance of spices and goods, one of the world’s most impressive Oriental covered marketplaces;

Early afternoon visit to “Forum Istanbul” – a huge entertainment and shopping center introducing over 280 shops of trademarks and the famous Sea Life Aquarium. The aquarium is one of the world’s largest of its kind spreading on area of 8000 sq. m. and presenting over 10000 sea species including a 2.5-meters long tiger sharks. An opportunity to walk underwater through an amazing 83-meter long ocean tunnel and get 270-degree panoramic view of the sea bed.

Continue to Kirklareli – a typical small Turkish town with nice walking and shopping opportunities.

Late afternoon departure from Istanbul and late evening return to Bulgaria.
