Go for a jeep ride to the Taurus mountains to a beautiful unspoiled Sapadere Canyon. Trek in the canyon or swim in the waterfall and go deep into the fantastic Gnom's Cave. Visit Sapadere village hidden in the mountains with its mosque, windmill and and be a guest of a Turkish family at their farm house. Day outside the city with lunch in the bosom of nature.

Meet a driver at your hotel for 9am departure, then transfer to a central meeting location, where you'll join up with a convoy of Jeeps for the trip into the mountains.

After 25 miles (40 km) on the road, you'll reach the mountain village of Sapadere and visit a Turkish family in their home, the perfect chance for a real glimpse for rural life. Sit on the terrace to join the hosts for a glass of traditional Turkish tea or coffee, then step into a nearby mosque for a short introduction to Islam.

Following your time in the village, continue into Sapadere Canyon, where steep walls drop to a rushing river and waterfalls, with the chance to swim in a chilly cascade. Head to a local tavern for lunch—the locally caught trout is a favorite dish. 

Before returning to town, you'll have the option to visit Goblin Cave, a fascinating place hung with stalactites and sleeping bats (cave tickets own expense, €3). This tour concludes with drop-off at the original departure point.
