Get out of the city and spend a day in the countryside on this 7-hour tour of Miletus, Didyma and Ephesus. Miletos, home to many famous world philosophers.

You will be met at Kusadasi Port by your professionally trained guide and drive to the ancient city of miletus located near Akkoy at the mouth of the Buyuk Menderes (meander) River. Miletus owed its importance to its position on the trade routes. It was one of the largest cities in Anatolia with a population of between 80.000 and 100.000. Didyma was controlled by Persians, Romans and Seljuk Turks. The next visit after Miletus will be Didyma. Didyma means "twins" and it was associated by some as being the meeting place of Zeus and Leto to have their twins Apollo and Artemis. Didyma was famed as a prophecy center dedicated to Apollo, which served a similar purpose as the Delphi of Anatolia. It was not a city but a sanctuary linked to Miletos by Milesians with a 19 km/12 mi sacred road. After visited Miletus and Didyma you will continmue to Selcuk / Ephesus area. Famous in antiquity for its Temple of Artemus during the years of the Roman Empire, the Greek port of Ephesus became the greatest city in Asia Minor. You will start your Ephesus walking tour at the upper Magnesia Gate, and work your way down through the city, ending near the ancient Harbor. Along the way you will See the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastika, the temple of Hadrian and the impressive library of Celsius. The library is adorned with columns and statues. The Grand Theater, where St. Paul preached, is the largest theater in antiquity with a capacity of 24,000 seats. You will return to your private vehicle through the Arcadian Way, where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession. Afterwards you drive back to port of Kusadasi.
