Start the tour with the elegant Dolmabahce Palace. We next take finucular to Taksim. After a short exploration, we walk down to Galata along Istiklal Street. Your guide will tell the stories of the famous buildings. Next we climb the Galata Tower for a panoramic view of majestic Istanbul. After a lunch break at a local restaurant we explore Karakoy. A stylish, old neighborhood of Istanbul. We continue with a walk across the picturesque Galata bridge. Next we will visit the Spice Bazaar and around and continue to Rustem Pasha Mosque. Rustem Pasha Mosque is famous for its exquisite Iznik tiles from the 16th century. Our last hightlight is the Bosphorus Cruise up to the second bridge. You will discover old neighborhoods along the Bosphorus and amaze at the beautiful "Yalis" (waterfront, wooden mansions).

The tour starts on the shores of the Bosphorus. We walk the public halls of Dolmabahce Palace, a 19th style century showpiece built between 1843 and 1856. Every room is crammed with exotic gifts to the Sultans from visiting foreign dignitaries.

Stop At: Istiklal Street Taksim Beyoglu, Istanbul Turkey

Istiklal Street is a vibrant one-and-a-half kilometre long pedestrian zone. It’s been home to elegant buildings, consulates, local businesses and upmarket restaurants since the 18th century. At the end is Tunel, an inviting neighbourhood brimming with boutiques, music stores and cafes. It’s home to the 14th century Galata Tower too. This stone medieval structure was used by the Genoans. Known as Galatians, they kept an eye on their goods being delivered to the docks below.

Galata Tower, naming its neighborhood with as Galata district of Istanbul, is one of most important symbols of the city. The top of the tower offers panoramic views of the Bosporus, the Golden Horn and Istanbul.

Walk from Pera to Eminonu across the Galata Bridge

The narrow backstreets of Beyoglu lead to Galata Bridge. As we cross it, you’ll see fisherman and street vendors. Below and on either side, the water is full of boats, big and small. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a spot recommended by your guide.

It is known that way as in the past, exotic spices would be sold that were imported through Egypt. The Spice Market is the second biggest historical bazaar in mystical Istanbul. Stalls in the bazaar stock from various spices, herbs to exotic aphrodisiacs, household goods, toys and clothes.

You’ll relish the calm of Rustem Pasha Mosque. It was built in the 16th century by the famous Turkish architect Mimar Sinan. The stunning array of Iznik tiles inside will dazzle you.

Another highlight of the tour is a Bosphorus Cruise tour. We catch a public ferry, much loved by locals, up the strait. On the Bosphorus cruise you’ll see gorgeous examples of yali, traditional wooden houses, set among lush groves of trees. This tour runs on a regular, public Bosphorous Cruise ferry.
