Eighteenth-century hilltop folly located atop Broadway Hill, the second-highest point in the Cotswolds. The literature claims that you can see 16 counties from the top of the tower on a clear day, definitely as far east as the Chilterns and as far west as the Brecon Beacons.
The tower has connections with William Morris (the nineteenth-century artist who described Bibury as the most beautiful village in England he liked the tower so much that it led him to establish the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) and was also used by the Royal Observer Corps during the Cold War;
