Find a hidden Glen in Scotland's woods

We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it. Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale. This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time. No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie.

I'll pick you up from the City Centre, from the front of the Counting House pub entrance at 9:30 am and drive you to the location of the activity.

We will drive along beautiful country roads and some amazing Scottish country side scenery. Meanwhile I'll tell you stories about Scotland, its wildlife, nature, about my adventures all over Scotland's islands and highlands. Once we arrive to the location, we park the car and continue on our foot. While we get to the place, I'll tell you some stories, legends about the uniqueness of this Glen and why it was loosen as a scenery for the an Outlander movie episode.

We get into the woods and take some woodland walks deep into the forrest, where you can already hear the gushing water beneath our feet. We'll take some photos along the way, also taking a glimpse from above, seeing how the glen looks like from a height. Then we find a hidden pathway down to the glen, which takes a bit of climbing down, but it's not dangerous. I'll guide you each step of the way of where to step and what to hold onto, so that we can get down to the gorge in a safe manner.

Once we're down, a mystical and beautiful scenery is unveiling in front of us. Crimson coloured water is flowing in between some majestic looking, moss covered cliffs. We'll take our shoes and socks off and continue our journey barefoot, walking in the river, so that wen can take a better look further down at some rock formations that have lots of legend behind them and more.

I'll guide you through this part of the journey carefully as I know exactly which way to go, where the water is less deep, where it is safe to step. The water mostly is quite murky and  deep red coloured, so it is hard to see which way to go. But, I know this place like the back of my hand, so I can guide you which way to walk, where to step and how far to go, without getting into it too deep. Please note that the water is quite cold, but a lot of my guests love the challenge of walking into it. Let's leave the rest to the imagination, shall we. We'll take lots of photos and memories with us, that you can how later on to your friends and family. After the hike, we come back up the same path and head back to the car. Then I drive you back to the meeting point.

The tour can be done by anyone, doesn't require a certain level of fitness at all. With good and safe guidance from an experienced tour guide, this is quite an adventure and enjoyable experience in the same time.

So let's go on an adventure together in the Scottish country side.
