Gin School Experience

A brilliant session for anyone with a passion for Gin and a desire to get ‘submerged’ in the history, background and techniques of its manufacture, and to roll up their sleeves and make their very own unique bottle of Gin.

The Gin School is a purpose-built old school ‘laboratory’ complete with mini pot stills at each workstation and all the botanicals and ingredients needed to make a truly fine bottle of Gin. A typical season lasts around 3 hours.

Itinerary

A brilliant session for anyone with a passion for Gin and a desire to get ‘submerged’ in the history, background and techniques of its manufacture, and to roll up their sleeves and make their very own unique bottle of Gin.

The typical 3-hour session follows the following itinerary:

Introduction to the session with the Gin master

Briefing on typical styles of Gin and a delicious G&T to enjoy whilst listening to a brief history of Gin with more samples.

Theory of distillation and introduction to the selection of botanicals.

Construction of your very own Gin and start your distillation in your own copper pot still!

Light lunch or supper

Final de-brief during and your unique recipe will be recorded in the Gin Jamboree Gin School register.

Time permitting, you can purchase further Gins from the 500’s bar and shop to take away.
