My name is Helen. I love my city and I like to show it from a local viewpoint!

My favourite places are unusual ones that are off the beaten track and are often missed by many visitors. I aim to show you these combined with the incredible history, culture and sights we have to offer

I keep my group sizes small which gives us plenty of time to talk! Sometimes I can even vary the route according to your interests or pick up a drink along the way..

I set up my company “Edinburgh Welcome Tours” because during my travels I have been invited to homes all over the world so now I want to welcome visitors from everywhere to my own home town.

Stop At: Edinburgh Old Town, Edinburgh EH1 Scotland

If you only have a short time in Edinburgh this tour will show you the unmissable sights that the city has to offer!

We wind along the Royal Mile in the Old Town which is the oldest part of the UNESCO world heritage area of Edinburgh.

We take you down hidden alleyways off the main street and make the historical stories that fill this city come alive.

For fans of Outlander, we pass areas of interest and much of the actual history within the story can be explained and shown here.

For Harry Potter fans we also can point out some places of interest as we pass along. This is optional!!

We will also point out many other places that you can visit here after the tour so that you have a good overview of how to spend your time in the city. Hopefully it will make you want to visit again soon!
