Start this fun and kid-friendly tour in the City of Westminster, the site of some of the finest and most important historical buildings in England, and from here you will begin an amazing journey where you will be abe to admire from the outside all the most famous and iconic sites in London.
You will be guided by an expert on tours for families with children, and you will learn and have fun throughout the walking tour as you see some of the London's best known landmarks such as Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, Millennium Bridge, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and many more besides. You will finish the tour with a relaxing river trip along the Thames, and your guide will tell you all about the attractions you will see along the way. The cruise will take you back to the Westminster area and you will finish the tour at the pier just opposite Big Ben.

The City of Westminster, where the first part of your tour will take place, is an Inner London borough holding city status. Located on the grounds of a former Benedictine monastery, Westminster Abbey is a large abbey church in the City of Westminster, right next to the Houses of Parliament. The construction of the present church began in 1245 by order of Henry III, who selected the site for his burial. Westminster Abbey is one of the most important Gothic buildings in England and was built according to a unique architectural design. Coronations and royal weddings have taken place at Westminster Abbey for centuries, and many kings and queens are buried there.

The Palace of Westminster, most commonly known as the Houses of Parliament, is the seat of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two chambers of the British Parliament. It is located on the left bank of the River Thames in the borough of Westminster, London. A big part of the palace was destroyed in a fire in 1834 and it was redesigned by Sir Charles Barry and his assistant Augustus Welby  in a neo-Gothic style, incorporating the buildings that survived the fire. Its elaborate clock tower, known as Big Ben, helps make it one of the most popular tourist attractions in London.

The tower is a British cultural icon recognized all over the world. It is one of the most prominent symbols of the United Kingdom and it is often used to set the scene for films set in London. The clock tower has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. It is a spot that you won't want to miss during the tour and the kids will certainly be enthusiastic.

You will see from the outside one of the most famous royal palaces in the world, Buckingham Palace, the London residence of Her Majesty The Queen and also the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today and it is one of the most famous landmarks in London, visited each year by more than 50,000 people.
Right outside Buckingham Palace, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, weather permitting, you can observe the Changing of the Guard. This is the ceremony where The Queen's Guard hands over responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace and St. James's Palace to the New Guard. Your guide will help you find the perfect spot to attend this striking spectacle!

Your walking tour will take you to Trafalgar Square, a public square that hosts some of London’s top attractions. You will see Nelson's Column, a monument that sits at the center of the square, created by William Railton in 1805 to honour Admiral Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar, the Trafalgar Square lions, four bronze lions statues that sit at the bottom of the Column, the wonderful Trafalgar Square fountains, the Trafalgar square statues, the Police Box and the building that hosts the National Gallery.
Trafalgar Square is one of the liveliest and most vibrant squares in London, and with the use of visual aids and trivia, your guide will make sure the kids are entertained while they learn.

You will then move on to the City of London, where you will admire the majesty of St Paul's Cathedral, one of London's most iconic buildings and one which has played an important role in the city's history. The cathedral was designed by architect Sir Christopher Wren, who was influenced by Michelangelo's dome on St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
It's great dome reaches a height of 111 meters (366 ft) and weighs about 66,000 tons. It is one of the world's largest cathedral domes
Outside in the churchyard, north of the church, is the simple and elegant Memorial to the People of London, honouring the 32,000 Londoners killed during the World War II bombings.

After having lunch, you will head to The Tower of London, another of London's most famous highlights.

It has been the setting for a number of key events in European history, including the execution of three English queens. The Tower of London is one of the most popular tourist attractions in London and it has also been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since1988.

Round off your tour in the perfect way with a leisurely excursion along the River Thames, leaving from the pier next to the Tower of London.
