A unique opportunity to spend time with these magnificent South American Camelids in the breathtaking scenery of the Southern Cairngorm accompanied by the owner/guide who has extensive knowledge of both llamas and the local area, with over 8 years experience of llama trekking and over 20 years of adventuring in the Cairngorms. Our well behaved llamas will leave a great impression on guests and trekking with them is a very mindful experience.

Treks can be tailored to individual group ability and needs.

We meet at the llama pens at Ecocamp Glenshee and spend about half an hour getting to know the llamas, where they came from and their origins, their temperament and characteristics as well as some safety information. Then we set off in our vehicle and trailer after we have loaded the animals up, and the visitors vehicle for about 10/15 minutes to Glen Markie our local woods where travelers help unload the llamas; a final safety briefing and we head off. After 45 minutes we stop for hot chocolate and cakes and then trek back to the car and trailer where we load up and head back to Ecocamp.
