Perthshire is also known as the gateway to the Highlands. Rolling hills, lush valleys, beautiful scenery, and most importantly to the whisky making business, rivers are found in abundance.

Easily accessible from Edinburgh and Glasgow, this tour will provide you with a great whisky experience without needing to spend many hours driving to reach the distilleries.

This is a private tour and will be exclusive to you and your group. To ensure everyone is comfortable we accommodate a maximum of four people in our vehicle, currently a top of the range Volvo XC90 SUV. We will make every effort to conduct all tours, the only exception is if police advise motorists not to travel due to weather conditions.

Stop At: Blair Athol Distillery, Perth Road, Pitlochry PH16 5LY Scotland

Blair Athol is located in the picturesque town of Pitlochry in the foothills of the Grampian Mountains. Water originating from Ben Vrackie flows down the Allt Dour (Gaelic for River of the Otter) and through the grounds of the distillery. The otter features prominently on the Blair Athol single malt label as a result.

This is a lovely small distillery and offers a range of different tours priced from £9.50 to £250 for you to enjoy. It is not necessary to take a full tour if you prefer you can enjoy a whisky at their bar instead. There is a well stocked shop with a range of different whiskies available to purchase.

Stop At: Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, Aberfeldy Distillery A827, Aberfeldy PH15 2EB Scotland

Founded in 1898, Dewars Distillery in Aberfeldy produces spirit that goes into the single malt as well as their blended range of whiskies. Dewars is popular throughout the world and the distillery is the spiritual home of America's best selling Scotch.

A range of different tours priced from £10.50 to £99.00 is available at the Distillery or if you prefer, you can enjoy a tasting at their well stocked Whisky Lounge. Dewars is closed on a Sunday so an alternate distillery will be substituted if you make a booking on this day.

Stop At: The Glenturret Distillery The Hosh, Crieff PH7 4HA Scotland

Situated just north of Crieff, Glenturret Distillery was founded in 1775 and claims to be the oldest Distillery in Scotland. Drawing water from the Turret Burn (River in Scots), the Distillery prides itself on traditional whisky making techniques including mashing by hand and cutting by eye. Recently acquired by Lalique, significant investment is being put into the Distillery including a new fine dining experience which will open in 2020.

A range from tours priced from £10 to £500 are available. If you prefer to just sample some whisky, these can taken in the shop. Like all distilleries, it is advisable to book your tour in advance.
