Scottish Whisky and History Walking Tour

Join an authentic Glaswegian on a walking tour around Central London as I try to demystify the sometimes mysterious world of single malt whisky.

Along the way I will give a little background to the history of Scottish whisky and how it's woven in to our culture. I will explain how it is made and the different flavours from each of the whisky producing areas. The route will take us past a couple of Scottish landmarks right here in the heart of London.

We will stop at several pubs along our journey to taste some whisky and share a dram. All whisky is included in the cost of the tour. I will ensure that you get to taste a variety of flavours and regions.

By the end of the evening you will know your single malts from your blends and whether you a fan of Speyside, the Highlands or maybe Islay.

It's not a history lesson. It's also not a formal whisky tasting but it is a lot of fun!

Stop At: WIlliam Wallace Memorial, St. Bartholomew's Hospital W Smithfield, London EC1A 9DS England

Stop at the William Wallace memorial and hear how he defeated the English only to be betrayed by one of his own countrymen. Find out if he actually shouted 'Freedom'!

See one of only 2 church of Scotland in London. Learn how the church was involved in the illicit whisky trade back in the 17 and 1800s
