Leeds Castle is everything you would want from a moated castle which sits in an unrivalled setting about 1.5 hours from London.

It has a rich and varied history including ownership by Henry VIII for his first wife Katherine of Aragon.

Stop At: Hever Castle & Gardens, Edenbridge, Hever TN8 7NG England

We will have lunch in a top country pub before travelling about an hour from Leeds to Hever Castle - childhood home of King Henry's second wife, Anne Boleyn.

Hever boasts the finest collection of Tudor art beyond the National Portrait Gallery in London and also has superb grounds to explore.
