In this walk we will step in to the world of World War II highly secretive Special Operations Executive. With Hitlers conquest of the Low Countries and the fall of France, Britain was faced with imminent invasion.
Churchill, as First Lord of the Admiralty and then Prime Minister supported a small group of mavericks. They were specialists in inventing weapons, training in lethal combat and hit and run missions both in the UK should invasion come, or in various parts of Europe and Africa to harass the Nazi war machine. These were the men and woman of the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
In this walk we will see several buildings where the operations were planned. We will hear stories of the planning of SOE operations of the secret missions bravest of the brave.
