Itinerary

Day 1: Home - Fairbanks

Stop At: Fairbanks International Airport, 6450 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709, USA
Upon arrival in Fairbanks, check in the hotel by yourself. Transfer from the airport by hotel shuttle or on your own

Self-Check-In to Hotel on Day 1.

Option A: Free hotel-airport shuttle service. Please call hotel front desk after arrival or 1 day before arrival to Fairbanks for shuttle arrangement. (Provide your pick-up time, number and name of customers).

Option B: You can also take taxi, Uber or Lyft to the hotel. The cost would be around US$20-30.

Day 2: Fairbanks - Borealis Basecamp

Stop At: Borealis Basecamp, 2640 Himalaya Rd, Fairbanks, AK 99712, USA
The morning is at leisure in Fairbanks.

At 11:00AM, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Borealis Basecamp, approximately 45-50 minutes north of Fairbanks.

This accommodation offers an exceptional stay in fiberglass domes with large, curved windows for optimal northern lights viewing right from your room! Overnight Borealis Basecamp.

Today relax and enjoy all the camp has to offer.

Included today is an ATV or Dog Cart Tour or later in the season when snow conditions allow (typically starting mid-November) a Snowmachine or Dog Sledding Tour. Any of those tours are approx. 1 hour long. (Only one activity is included, please choose at time of booking).

Note:
Borealis Basecamp Dome will be arranged on any of the nights during this whole trip based on the availability of the Dome. But it will be guaranteed 1 night stay at the Dome.

Day 3: Borealis Basecamp - Fairbanks

Stop At: Chena Hot Springs Resort, 56.5 Mile Chena Hot Springs Road, Chena Hot Springs, AK 99711
You can select from either returning to Fairbanks at 12 Noon and participating in an optional experience or stay at Basecamp and return to Fairbanks at 4:00PM. Staying at Basecamp you can participate in any of the onsite activities.

Optional Activities
City Tour begins with the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center, showcases the rich Arctic History through the Museum of the North and celebrates the fun of Alaska's own North Pole with a visit to Santa Clause's House.

Chena Hot Spring Tour departs Fairbanks at 5PM heading east to Chena Hotsprings. Begin your evening with a visit to the year-round Ice Museum, relax in the Hotsprings to your hearts content and finish your evening with Aurora Viewing. Returning to Fairbanks around 4:00AM.

Day 4: Fairbanks Free Day

Stop At: James Dalton Highway, Fairbanks, AK
Free day in Fairbanks where you can participate in optional experiences.

Optional Activities:
Arctic Circle Drive Tour begins with departing Fairbanks at 10AM and heading North to the Arctic Circle. Enjoy the beauty of Alaska's interior, traveling along the world famous Dalton Highway and traverse the mighty Yukon River. Cross the Arctic Circle in a ceremonious fashion and receive an Arctic Circle certificate.

Arctic Circle Fly Drive: begins with a flight north to Coldfoot, home of the Northernmost post office in the United States. Have the opportunity to send friends and family a postcard before beginning your ground journey south to the Arctic Circle. Cross the Arctic Circle in a ceremonious fashion and receive an Arctic Circle certificate. Continuing South cross the mighty Yukon River and take in the Ghost Trees along the way.

Day 5: Fairbanks Departure

Stop At: Fairbanks International Airport, 6450 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709, USA
Take the hotel shuttle to the airport on own for your departure or start additional program.

Tour departures until mid-November include either an ATV or Dog Cart Tour; tour departures starting mid-November include a Dog Sledding or Snowmachine Tour (depending on snow conditions).

Option #1 - Dog Sledding/Dog Cart
Duration: 60 minutes approx.

Dog Cart (September - November, only Dog Cart is available due to less snow)
Dog Sledding (November - April 10th)

Dog sledding was a very important part of Alaskan local life. Dog sleds were the most convenient way to travel and to deliver important supplies between local villages in the dead of winter. Even today, dogsleds continue to be used in remote portions of Alaska for daily travel needs. On this tour, snuggle under a warm blanket and enjoy the 30-minute sled ride through the beautiful forests of Alaska. Your musher will be happy to help you click photos for you and with you.

The trip is suitable for all ages and is designed for ordinary tourists who experience the speed and passion of dogs and enjoy a comfortable and safe journey. Not only that, but you also have the opportunity to learn about Alaska husky, dog sled, and related events. And as good friends of mankind, how do these lovely creatures thrive on this land with their masters.

* Please wait for a moment in our lobby. When your dog and woodcutter are ready, the staff will come here to inform you of your 30-minute dog sled experience.

* Please note, the sleds on this tour variously accommodate 2-4 people and are assigned by weight and the musher's knowledge of the dogs. Please follow the musher's guidance when he assigns seating as you will need to share your sled with other people.

Option #2 - Snow Machine Tour/ATV All-Terrain Vehicle Driving Experience
Snow Machine Tour Season: November - April

Duration: 60 minutes approx.

In Alaska's long winter, snowmobiles are the coolest form of transportation and entertainment. Galloping in Alaska's endless forest, sea and snow fields brings different pleasures and excitement. Riding a 60-minute snowmobile (driving independently), under the guidance of professional coaches, beginners can also grasp the driving skills simply and clearly, fly through the snow, enjoy the scenery of the Alaska ice sheet, and feel the charm of the world of ice and snow.

Reminder: Only when you are 16 years old can you drive a snowmobiles independently.

Wear warm outdoor clothes, shoes, hats, gloves and sunglasses.

If you want to continue, $100/hr after the first hour.

Arrangements can be made between December and April, depending on the snow conditions.

If the trip is cancelled due to weather, a full refund will be made.

Inclusions: Training for snowmobiles coaches, and rental fees for down jackets, windproof pants, gloves, snowboots, helmet, etc. (limited number and style of warm clothes, first come first served)

Exclusions: Tips for your coach ($10 per person, please tip after the end of the trip)

ATV All Terrain Vehicle Driving Experience: September - January

Duration: 60 minutes approx.

This is Alaska's most exciting way of opening up in autumn. Under the leadership of professional leaders, driving an all-terrain vehicle through the mountains, deep into the interior of Alaska's primeval forests, explore the colorful Alaska and experience the fun of explorers.

Reminder: Only when you are over 14 years old can you drive the vehicle independently.

Inclusions: 1 hour of all-terrain vehicle driving fees; training fees; helmet; outdoor clothing, shoes, hats, gloves rental fees (limited styles, first come first served)

Exclusions: Tips for professional coach ($10 per person)

Note:
To ensure your stay in Borealis Basecamp, we may have to adjust the sequence of itinerary, subject to the availability of Igloos. You may stay in the Borealis Basecamp on the last night. Therefore, please schedule your departure flight after 3 pm or you will need to arrange your own transfer to the airport (no refund in this case).
