The downside with choosing a dolphin tour company based in Honokohau and Keauhou Harbor is there are so many operators that once to find the pod of dolphins you will have about 30 boats around you and the dolphins which are not a very ideal situation.
At Kawaihae Harbor there are less than a dozen boats. Which means there are at most 3 to 4 boats with a dolphin pod(30 to 300 dolphins)!!!
