With an emphasis on Maine history over the past 300 years, we explore life in the state in the 18th and 19th Centuries -- and with an emphasis on the nautical history of the state and its people. However, this is as much a foodie adventure as anything else! We love lobster and give you abundant opportunities to try lobster meals in all their glorious forms -- lobster rolls, whole lobster, lobster bisque, lobster quesadillas, and more. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Reception: June 5, 2020.

Stop At: Portland, Portland, Maine
Welcome to Portland, summer, and your nautical Maine experience!

Day 2: Tate House, lobster boating, and more! June 6, 2020.

Stop At: Tate House Museum, 1267 Westbrook St, Portland, ME 04102-1934
We will receive a guided tour of Tate House Museum that will highlight life in 18th century Maine and the family of George Tate.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Lucky Catch Cruises, 170 Commercial St, Portland, ME 04101, USA
Go on a lobster boating experience in Portland Harbor and learn about the lobster industry, pull up lobster traps, and enjoy the sites around the harbor.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Portland, Portland, Maine
Enjoy strolling around downtown Portland and enjoy the eclectic shops, restaurants, and cafes!
Duration: 2 hours

• Lunch: Lunch will be at Portland Lobster Company. Enjoy a lobster roll on the pier and enjoy the view!
• Dinner: Enjoy fine dining at its best at the Saltwater Grille Restaurant!

Day 3: Victoria Mansion. June 7, 2020.

Stop At: Victoria Mansion, 109 Danforth St, Portland, ME 04101-4504
We will receive a guided docent tour of Victoria Mansion followed by time to browse the gift shop.

Stop At: Portland Head Light, 1000 Shore Rd, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107-1916
We will drive to Cape Elizabeth and receive a guided tour of the Portland Head Lighthouse and Goddard Mansion.
Duration: 3 hours

Meals included:
• Dinner: We'll finish the day in style with upscale dining at Scales Restaurant.
• Lunch: We'll enjoy a fun lunch on the pier at J's Oyster. Review their website.

Day 4: Maine Maritime Museum & Boating. June 8, 2020.

Stop At: Maine Maritime Museum, 243 Washington St, Bath, ME 04530-1638
We will receive a custom tour of the Maine Maritime Museum, followed by a 3-hour coastal and lighthouse boating excursion.
Duration: 8 hours

• Lunch: A catered lunch will be provided before the boating excursion.

Day 5: Departure Day, June 9, 2020

We will enjoy our departure breakfast together prior to providing transportation for everyone to the nearby Portland Jetport. For travelers departing later in the day, we can sneak in one more lobster roll lunch before heading home!
