Barrier Island Beach and Wildlife outing
With more than 45 miles of uninhabited and protected Atlantic coastline, the Georgetown area has dozens of secluded and untouched beaches. Winds and waves routinely alter the landscape of these natural shorelines while continually replenishing the ample supply of driftwood and shells. Barrier island beaches also host nesting Sea Turtles and a wide range of protected birds.
Avid shell collectors and diehard beach lovers will appreciate the remoteness of these beaches. Most days, you will be the only footprints in the sand. Beach and Shelling trips are available year round, and should be scheduled around a low tide.
