Daufuskie Island Trail Rides seeks to create private rides that are customized to the group. We will never combine your group with other riders and we do not have a minimum participation limit. We are happy to take out an individual or your group of up to six riders. Our staff is both experienced and trained to fit each rider to the horse and suggest the most appropriate trail that suits your group’s time limit and experience level. Our trail rides are suitable for ages 12+. Our horses can accommodate up to 250 lbs and 6’6” height. We offer both English and Western seats to accommodate the preference of the riders.

Itinerary

1.5-hour ride accommodating all levels of riders. The experience starts with a 15-minute walk to our private beach where we’ll then ride along the Atlantic Ocean often seeing dolphin and various birds along the way. Please note that during sea turtle nesting season (May - October) all beach rides will be oceanfront. Riders will travel on grass path directly next to the sand but will refrain from riding on the sand as to not disturb the turtle nests.
