Join us to discover a wild Safari Animal Park located off-the-beaten-path, a true hidden gem sequestered in an open-air and remote wilderness located in the scenic hills of Sonoma Wine Country. Embark on this unique 4x4 Jeep Safari experience with your local safari tour guide, who will take you through acres of dry desert land and wooded rolling hills. You will see herds of wild and exotic animals from around the world, including animals all the way from Africa, and you will have the chance to get as close as you safely can to giraffes and other wild mammals.

As you drive through Safari West, your tour guide will inform you about the various species and habitats of these amazing wild safari park animals. There are over 820 different types of mammals, including impalas, lemurs, antelope, ostriches, zebras, cheetahs, and birds – all roaming or flying freely,

You have the option of choosing to begin or end your 2-3 hour Jeep Safari adventure with a 45-minute guided walk to marvel at a wide array of other wildlife not seen on the jeep tour: primates, Fennec Foxes, Servals, black and white Colobus, monkeys, De Brazza’s Monkeys, cheetahs, patas, ring-tailed lemurs, Indian Crested Porcupines, flamingos, bongos and beautiful birds flying in an open park. This is a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and the perfect way to relax while outdoors. This guided safari tour will show you all of the amazing animal inhabitants, and will provide an enhanced learning experience about African mammals and other wildlife.

This 4x4 SUV tour to Safari West and California Wine Country is new and exclusive to Golden Horizon Tours. You have the option to combine this safari adventure with another trip to any winery (or wineries) within Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Whether it is a small and charming winery or an elegant chateau winery, let us assist you in making your day in wine country a memorable one. The majority of the trip will be enjoying your safari experience, so for wine aficionados, we recommend a full-day wine tour instead, or add two hours overtime to spend enjoying the delicious and refreshing wines of Napa or Sonoma Valley.

There are a number of additional attractions and activities in the area for visitors who are not interested in visiting wineries, including a guided tour through Calistoga Old Faithful Geyser that erupts approximately every 30 minutes, a trip to a petrified forest, a visit to an olive oil press, a visit to a cheese factory, a journey through a pristine ancient forest of giant redwoods in Muir Woods Park or to a similar park filled with redwood trees in the Sonoma County area. We are also able to combine your Safari tour with a hot-air balloon ride over wine country, a zipline adventure through tall coastal redwood trees from a high elevation, or a guided tour of the Jelly Belly candy factory in Solano County.
