This is a half day tour of the old river road plantation homes. You will have a chance to see where they film movies like Django Unchained, Queen Sugar, 12 years a slave, Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks, Interview with a vampire with Brad Pitt. Also your Driver/Guide will enlighten you on a host of other attractions.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site, 2247 Highway 18, Vacherie, LA 70090-5409

The drive out to Oak Alley Plantation is about 70 minutes.Once arriving at the Plantation between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM your tour will begin. Your tour of Oak Alley's mansion will be a 30 minute guided tour.After which you should have an hour for a self guided tour. You can also grab a bite to eat at the Oak Alley Cafe. Explored the blacksmith shop and slave cabins. Also have one of Oak Alley's cocktails Mint julep's. We will then depart for Laura Plantation around 11:30 AM. It will be a short 15 minute ride to Laura.Once arriving your tour will begin at 12:00 PM at which point you will have a one hour and 15 minute guided tour of the mansion and the grounds with you're licensed tour guide. After which you will have about another 45 minutes for a self-guided tour of the property and to do some shopping in the gift shop. We will head back to New Orleans about 2:15 or 2:30 arriving back in the Crescent City at about 3:45 PM depending on traffic.
