Georgia 2020 Wine Highway Week
There will be a $50.00 passport fee for each participant which will be collected at the first winery visited. Travelers will receive a Wine Highway Week collectors glass and Passport which will give them admission to ALL participating wineries at no additional charge. Be sure to keep you Passport and Collectors glass with you at all wineries visited! Member wineries and Affiliate Members will each provide their own unique open-house format, with many offering food and wine pairings, music, barrel and library wine tastings and more! We are providing transportation to 6-8 wineries during wine weekend. The vineyards have unlimited tastings and the passport gets you the unlimited tastings. You will need to bring your own lunch. We will have water and light snacks on board. This tour lasts a minimum of 10 hours. We have one stop up to North Georgia for a bathroom and leg stretch break, and we do the same coming down from North Georgia.
Wineries open at 11 AM on Saturdays and the weekdays, and 12 Noon on Sundays. The passport that you purchase at the first winery is honored until 5 PM. We will pick you up and drop you off at your residence between 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM, depending on where you are located. We will spend approximately 30-40 minutes at each vineyard. The travel time in between each vineyards is 10-15 minutes. We provide transportation in a 12 passenger Transit Bus. Wine Highway Week is on one time a year. The Winegrowers Association of Georgia is sponsoring its annual Wine Highway Week beginning Saturday March 23rd through Sunday March 31st 2019. This is a great way to see and experience the views and wonderful wines of Northeast Georgia. The Association wineries offer great wines that are grown and produced here in Georgia, many of which have won local, regional, national and international awards.
