A visit to Staten Island is unique and contains little known treasures for the discerning traveler. Enjoy the views as you trek south towards scenic Raritan Bay to visit historic Conference House Museum, where in 1776 the patriots, Franklin, Adams and Rutledge met with the British to end the Revolutionary War. Walk in the park and maybe find a few deer crossing your path.  .

Stops include Kreischerville with its famous "haunted" mansion and brickmakers' homes; the source of the bricks - Claypit Pond State Preserve; Sandy Ground, NYS oldest settlement of freed slaves with its Museum, AME Zion Church and few remaining cottages; the former orphanage at Mt Loretta; the beautiful Seguine Mansion and equestrian center;

This 19th Century Greek Revival home of the Seguine Family is filled with treasures that were collected by George Burke, one of Staten Islanders prominent businessmen and who is credited with saving the building for posterity.
