Intro to Fire Flow

The class will follow a simple procedure:

1. On the ground: becoming more aware of our muscles through free-flowing stretching exercises.

2. High-Energy Repetitive Improv: break the ice with an instructor-led step-touch routine to a fast paced-beat with guided improvisational movement suggestions... finding your confidence to move intuitively in your space.

3. Connection with Prop: a prop can be specifically designed for Fire Flow Art, like a contact staff or poi, or a conventional item like a ball or chair. First, you will explore a few props until you find the one that speaks too you, then you will practice moving with it, learning its weight and how to twist and turn without dropping it.

This is a high-energy workshop too explore the Art of Flow Dancing and that is the base for Fire Flow Dancing. What you see in the sexy fire dancing video is the result of flow dancing practice.

This workshop is structured like a high-energy Ecstatic Dance Class with a "prop manipulation" flow focus. "Prop manipulation" is a dancing technique of intuitively feeling the movement of inanimate object and using your own body's flow to move with your natural manipulation (or "flow) with it.

The purpose of this class is to use HIIT exercise techniques with total body awareness leading to intuitive (improv, feeling) dancing. A body workout. A meditation. A flow.
