Lunch with a Local Tour of the French Quarter

This is a great experience for friends, families, special parties, as well as couples who want to share a more intimate French Quarter experience of the unique European history and cuisine of our three hundred year old city. This is an intimate experience of the French Quarter, including areas of the old neighborhood experienced by the few. You will not only dine in an iconic creole restaurant but visit parts not seen by many. Understand our old NOLA saying, "You can live in any City but New Orleans is the only City that can live in you."

Itinerary

Walk and dine with our licensed tour guide and learned historian. We'll have a 3 course curated lunch at Tujague's, founded in 1856, the second oldest restaurant in the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans, and enjoy the popular Grasshopper cocktail created there. We'll talk about the history and culture of New Orleans and the part that food plays in the life of every New Orleanian. After lunch, we'll stroll along the Mississippi and through Jackson Square, the site of the first French Settlement. We'll talk about the French and Spanish influence on the European architecture. The Vieux Carre', a six by thirteen neighborhood, offers a deep experience of the diverse cultures of the indigenous people, as well as the many Europeans, Africans and other immigrants came together to create this great geographical and historical city. We'll stroll down Royal Street and enjoy musicians and other entertainments reminiscent of the streets of Old Europe. New Orleans has often been called the most European City in America. Our Tour ends with a Sazerac Cocktail at the Hermes Bar at Antoine's, the oldest continuously operating and family run restaurant in America. Join us!
