Moab Canyoneering and Packrafting Combo

Our canyoneering and packrafting adventure allows us to explore parts of Moab that are rarely visited while combining two of our favorite activities - rappelling and packrafting. We'll start the day off by hiking down a gorgeous canyon until we get to a 100 foot drop that cannot be descended with the use of harnesses and ropes. With the help of your experienced guide, you'll rappel down two 100-foot rappels, entering a dark chamber and then descending next to the sixth largest arch in the country. You'll then hike out of a beautiful red rock canyon following a perrenial stream that allows a lush environment to thrive. We'll enjoy a much deserved lunch near the mighty Colorado River before launching, each in our personal inflatable boats. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic float down this amazing watercourse.

We will meet at our shop in the heart of downtown Moab (or pick you up, upon request) and head out to our canyon - about a 15 minute drive from town. We'll hike across ancient sand dunes and quickly arrive at our first rappel. Here, your experienced guide will instruct your group on how to safely rappel into the canyon. Once everyone is down, we'll move on to our second rappel - right next to one of the largest arches in the country. After 2 exhilirating rappels and a beautiful hike out, we'll hop in the van and drive along the Colorado River. We'll eat a buffet-style lunch, talk about river saftey and choose the best put-in based on your groups abilities and goals for the afternoon. We'll soon launch on the river and float through rapids or enjoy a scenic flat-water float - whichever your heart desires!
