Mount Rainier Day Hike
Do you cringe at the gaggles of tourists and want to get beyond the crowds? Are you craving adventure and real experiences where you can feel alive and connected to nature? If you love adventure and getting out and experiencing the real outdoors, then this hike is for you.
This is a semi-private guided hike on the Three Burroughs Trail at Mount Rainier National Park. We can customize the distance of the hike from 4 - 9 miles depending on how adventurous (and fit) you are feeling!
Itinerary
Mount Rainier National Park is the jewel of the Pacific Northwest. With Mount Rainier towering over the Cascade mountain range at 14,411 feet, the mountain is impossible to miss.
We'll journey from downtown Seattle to Sunrise Visitor's Center on the North side of Mount Rainier. From there we'll put on our hiking shoes and tackle the Burroughs Trail.
Burroughs Mountain has been described as a mountain against a mountain. At over 7800 feet, Burroughs Mountain sets right up against the northeastern face of Mount Rainier, hugging the Winthrop Glacier. It offers one of the most dramatic views of Washington's largest volcano.
The hike is moderate to challenging with options to turn around at 4, 6 and 9 miles making this the perfect option for those that want to push beyond the crowds but question their own limitations and abilities. This is YOUR hike, and we'll push as far as you are comfortable. But trust me, the views are worth it. There is no technical climbing and those in moderate to fit condition will find this hike to be both challenging and rewarding. You don't need special gear or prior experience - just an adventuresome spirit!
