Take a tour of two private archaeological preserves owned by the Archaeological Conservancy. You will visit the Ottens Pueblo, a unique architectural structure constructed in the 1300's. Next you will visit the Atkeson Pueblo, another later period structure, that boasts of having the tallest pueblo wall in the area. Both dwellings are along Oak Creek. This tour is given by experienced tour guides trained to provide you an educational private tour of these unique structures. Along the way, you will not only learn about the historic significance of these dwellings, but also the archaeological discoveries that have shaped what we know today.

Ottens Pueblo (archaeological ruins) - This is one of the Sugarloaf Group of ruins along Oak Creek. After a challenging uphill hike, the reward is a large ruin with spectacular views. This hike reaches 3,500 ft.

Atkeson Pueblo (archaeological ruins) - This site boasts the tallest free-standing pueblo wall remaining in the Sedona/Verde Valley area.
