Private tour of Mount Evans and the mining town of Idaho Springs

I am fluent in English, French and Spanish. I have been a tour quide for over 10 years, first starting off on bus tours and then proceeding to get my commercial insurance and certification from the state to do private tours; I am somewhat of a history buff and have many tales of the Colorado Wild West as well as my family history of the Hatfields and the McCoys. I am a certified Internatational Guide and I have traveled extensively outside the US. As a child I learned about other cultures as I lived in Switzerland and France and as an adult Mexico and Colombia.

We begin by exploring Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater in the morning. The views of the Red Rocks, Amphitheater and Denver are majestic. The Visitor Center describes the history of the formation of Red Rocks park as well as some of the history of the musicians.

Venturing we will go through Bear Creek Canyon and then onto Evergreen. From there we go through a spectacular mountain pass to Echo Lake. A quick stroll around Echo Lake and then we are off to Mount Evans. Mount Evans boasts the highest road in North America. Mount Evans is well over 14,000 feet and parts of the road are closed in fall.

From Mount Evans we will go to Idaho Springs for an ice cream cone and a stroll through the city. Idaho Springs has many cute shops, restaurants and breweries and you will hear mining and cowboy tales.

After Idaho Springs our journey takes us past a Bufallo preserve where bufallo often can be seen before we end up back in Denver. Please note Mount Evans may close due to snow in the winter.
