This is an UNSWEET red wine tour featuring wines such as Chambourcin, Merlot, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon & more. Don’t worry if you don’t know anything about wine, we’re here to guide you!

Each tour includes 4 vineyards with about 5 glasses of wine, perfect food pairings, 1 full vineyard tasting, all day transportation & a friendly, knowledgeable guide.

Itinerary

Stop At: Raffaldini Vineyards & Winery, 450 Groce Rd, Ronda, NC 28670-9134

This is perhaps one of the Carolina's prettiest vineyards, Raffaldini. Raffaldini makes excellent Italian wines and have been doing so for a couple decades. We will enjoy their Bella Misto (red) that goes divinely with an Italian specialty in a red wine sauce (plus bread to sop up the goodness).

Stop At: Piccione Vineyards, 2364 Cedar Forest Rd, Ronda, NC 28670-9107

Best view of the valley, this pretty vineyard on a hill has fabulous Italian style red wines for us to choose. Whether its Montepulciano, Sangiovese or Nero D'Avola, you are sure to enjoy this stop along with our prepared snack.

Stop At: Hanover Park Vineyard, 1927 Courtney Huntsville Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055-6144

Housed in a 19th century farmhouse, this unpretentious vineyard is making a slate of fantastic French style wines. They have several wines we like to try from Mourvedre to Chambourcin. Along with our food pairing, this is one of the best stops of the tour.

Stop At: RayLen Vineyards, 3577 US Highway 158, Mocksville, NC 27028-7842

This delightful and large Carolina vineyard makes too many good wines to count. Their full tasting includes 18 wines!!

We like to visit RayLen usually at the end of the tour and either grab a bottle and food or do a red or white tasting.

Stop At: Brandon Hills Vineyards, 1927 Brandon Hills Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055-6129

A New vineyard in 2020, we like a couple of their wines and rotate between their medium bodies Barbera (red) or their fantastic rosé from Cabernet Franc grapes.

They have a huge outdoor space where we grab our wine and food and enjoy our time looking at the vines.

Stop At: Midnight Magdalena Vineyards, 5109 Howell School Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642-9560

Fast becoming our favorite stop, this boutique vineyard is growing unique grapes resulting in memorable and fantastic wines. We often stop here for their rosé or their sparkling Traminette.
