San Francisco Chinatown Russian Hill And North Beach Tour

This four mile loop takes you through three of San Francisco's most famous and picturesque neighborhoods. Beginning and ending at the Dragon Gate of Chinatown, we travel through the colorful back alleys of the oldest and largest Chinatown in the world. We stop at the first Chinese temple in the US and then onto the Cable Car Museum and Powerhouse to see the history of the fabled cable cars and watch how they operate. A short climb up to the summit of Russian Hill where some of America's most famous writers held their salons, and home to San Francisco's most amazing and eclectic architecture. We meander through one of the City's most beautiful hidden streets which was the inspiration Barbary Lane in Netflix Tales of the City series. Just a short bop on to North Beach, the hip Italian enclave that was the epicenter for the Beat Generation, and still maintains much of its Italian charm. This walk has a couple of steep staircases, but the views at the top are well worth the walk.
