Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder is committed to the conservation and protection of marine mammals worldwide through our active involvement in conservation, research, extensive education and outreach programs. DPMMR leads and operates the local marine mammal stranding organization covering 10,000 square miles of marine habitat. DPMMR promotes a greater understanding of marine ecosystem science, marine mammal conservation, and environmental stewardship via powerful daily interactions with the general public.

Itinerary

You don’t need to be a swimmer to enjoy this exhilarating experience. Splash and Wade is an interaction that lets you meet our Atlantic bottlenose dolphins up close and personal, while standing comfortably in waist-deep water. After an informative briefing you’ll be fitted with a flotation vest and stand on a platform that submerges to about 3 feet deep in our natural, ocean-water lagoon. Our dolphins will come to you for interactive behaviors like body rubs, handshakes or kisses. This program is fun and easy for young and young at heart alike!

Hours: 10am, 1pm and 3pm
Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your program start time
Duration: Briefing 20-30 min. To maximize your experience and the dolphin's the in-water experience is not timed, as the trainers leave it up to the dolphins for how long it takes them to accomplish a set number of behaviors. Plan to be at our facility for approx. 1.5 hours.
Cost: $165 per person
Ages: Minimum 3 with adult or 10 alone
