For a vacation destination, Tahoe has it all to entertain the whole family… a destination that offers endless options with indoor and outdoor activities to amuse travelers of all ages.During summer, you can have a sunset dinner cruise, or go sightseeing, swimming, take a thrilling whitewater rafting outdoor adventure, kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, paragliding, boating, hiking, cycling, boating, air tours (hot air balloon or helicopter tours), and other water sports.In winter, Lake Tahoe is a wonderland and a paradise for winter sightseeing and sports activities for skiers, nature lovers and photographers. Activities include skating, snow tubing and sledding, snowmobile adventures, or sightseeing tours for visitors who wish to discover more of California’s attractions and Nevada’s Wild West sights including Reno, Carson City or Virginia City.
Day 1 – Suggested Private Tour Itinerary
San Francisco- Gold Country-Tahoe sightseeing tour and overnight in Tahoe
The pick-up and drop-off time can be customized to your own schedule and preference. We usually start at 8 or 9am on day one and end the tour at your hotel in Lake Tahoe around 6 or 7pm.
This tour is totally private and not open to the public. We depart daily year-round from San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, Sacramento or even from Reno in Nevada. In the morning, we will leave San Francisco Bay Area around 8 am or anytime you may want, as this is a private custom tour for you and your party only. We then head east towards Sacramento, leaving via the Bay Bridge or the Golden Gate Bridge on highway 80, driving to Sacramento, the state capital of California. Your travel guide will schedule a stop for breakfast in an authentic gold mining village in El Dorado County or anywhere in California Gold Country. From there, you will head east to Lake Tahoe, either on highway 80 or 50 depending on weather and road conditions. Once in Lake Tahoe, your tour guide will explain the different activities available; you can go skiing, shopping or enjoy a guided tour around the lake to sightsee Lake Tahoe’s top attractions. This includes the majestic Emerald Bay, Tahoe state parks, state beaches, Cave Rock, Logan Shoals vista point, Fanny Bridge and the Truckee River in Tahoe City and visit Heavenly Village in South Shore or Squaw Valley Ski Resort and village in the North shore. You will enjoy unique photo stops and the opportunity to try some of Tahoe’s top dining restaurants with views over the lake.
In the afternoon, you will be taken to the hotel or casino resort of your choice. Your tour guide will assist with the check-in process. Note that we do not work on commission. Therefore, our valuable clients have the choice of either booking their own hotel in Lake Tahoe, or simply book our 2-day tour package, with hotel accommodation included, via our website. The package accommodation is in a 3-star hotel to keep the cost down. but if you have high expectations, we recommend that you book directly with the hotel or ski resort of your choice. The South Shore is best for those looking for more comfort and Lake Tahoe nightlife. We suggest reading reviews before you book your hotel accommodation. Expect smoking in the lobby of hotel casinos, but they do offer non-smoking rooms. However, there are many hotels and resorts in both North and South Shore of Lake Tahoe which are 100% non-smoking resorts. The choice is yours, and we are happy to offer you a complimentary pick-up and drop-off at any location in Lake Tahoe.

Day 3- Suggested Private Travel Itinerary
Lake Tahoe–California Gold Country- San Francisco
What can you expect from this trip on day 3? Your personal tour guide will tailor-make this private trip according to your preferences and to suit your travel expectations. Join us now for this exciting trip to the Lake Tahoe region, or Reno, returning to San Francisco via Sacramento. We start around 9am in Tahoe and we will get you back to San Francisco around 7pm.On day 1, 2 and 3, you may choose your favorite winter or summer activities and sights you wish to visit, from the options offered below, and let your personal tour guide take care of the rest.After your breakfast on Day 3, your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at any time you may choose. He or she will organize and customize the rest of your private tour, based on your preference and special requests. Some activities, such as snowmobile rental, a helicopter air tour, boat charter or booking a cruise ship tour on the Lake, may require reservations in advance. So, it’s best to discuss that with your tour guide on day one. For most other activities, such as skiing or sightseeing, prior arrangement or reservation is not necessary. Your tour guide will be on hand to assist you in this regard.
Regardless of the season, you will always enjoy a scenic drive during your private guided tour around Lake Tahoe. You will enjoy breathtaking photo stops along the way to capture beautiful landscapes, cascading waterfalls, state parks, majestic alpine vistas, and spectacular sights. When the pick-up and drop-off are outside of San Francisco, the time and length of the tour may be reduced accordingly as we are based in San Francisco.
