Your tour will be led by a seasoned guide/ naturalist. This is your chance to see Yellowstone when it is locked in the grips of winter.
We will enjoy a day exploring Yellowstone's Northern Range which is home to the largest concentration of mammals anywhere in the lower 48 states. Wolves were completely eradicated from the USA but in 1995 biologists restored wolves back to Yellowstone. On our tour we will have opportunity to watch this rare animal thrive in one of the last places they can roam free - The Lamar Valley. The Lamar is world famous for viewing rare wildlife.
We will make a stop at Mammoth Hot Springs - a reminder of the large Super Volcano beneath Yellowstone. A large and very beautiful hot spring with turquoise pools and chalky terraces that is a reminder of the very large volcano underneath Yellowstone. The super heated water that is laced with a mild dose carbonic acid dissolves the limestone and redeposits it on the surface at an amazing rate of 2000lbs per day!
