3-day trekking in Sapa Hoang Lien National Park

The 3 days trip offers you an opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful parts in Sapa area, which is under the

protection of Hoang Lien National Park. The night you spend in campsite nearby a river, the time you spend with local ethnic people will be memorial moments

along the trek.

Day 1: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Seo Mi Ty

Transfer to Muong Hoa Valley for about 15 mintutes before taking a descent on a dirt trail to Y Linh Ho village inhabited by Black H’mong minority. Take your time to enjoy the magnificent scenery of rice terraces, high mountains, streams and wide valley doted by local ethnic minority villages. After crossing a suspension bridge, your trek will be uphill on a small trail amongst the rice terraces. The trek will be easier in the afternoon but the scenery is breathtaking. You pass by Seo Mi Ty village of Black H’mong minority where you will spend the night in a local house with sleeping bag.

Trekking distance: 17km

Meal: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Seo Mi Ty – Den Thang – Ta Trung Ho

The trek today takes you through beautiful rice paddies and over old suspension bridge. You will trek on a small village path by the side of the rain forest. You then stop for lunch at Den Thang village of Black H’mong by noon. After lunch, the trek become tough on tiny footpath going up and down hill, which requires some concentration. You will eventually reach Red Dao minority where you spend the night.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Ta Trung Ho – Nam Toong – Ban Ho – Sapa          

You are now at the fringe of the rain forest by Hoang Lien Son mountain range – home to Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina 3,143m. You start the trek today by ascending to Nam Toong village of Red Dao minority. Lunch will be served in a local school.  In the afternoon, the trekking route will be mostly downhill to Ban Ho Village which inhabited by the Tay minority. It is the largest village in the area with so many green vegetable gardens, fish ponds and traditional stilt houses, spreads along the two banks of Muong Bo Rivers. Yours vehicle is ready at the village for your journey back to Sapa.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Note: The trek is hard. The itinerary can be changed due to high water level in the river between Seo Mi Ty and Ta Trung Ho.
