Conquer the northern mountain in Ha Giang - Chieu Lau Thi

Chieu Lau Thi in Vietnamese it means ‘nine step clouds’ – the majestic mountain in the Northwest of Ho Thau commune, in Ha Giang with 2,402m height, is really the ideal target with the adventurous, majestic landscape on every road. This is a mountainous highland forest with many rare and precious plant and animal species. When the sun rises with clear blue sky and clouds, sun shines through each cloud on each mountain. Along the way up the peak, you will see the primeval forest with a rich flora of thousand year existence. Streams, rocks, forests, clouds the scene is completely natural feel like a picturesque.

On the trip, Chieu Lau Thi is the home of the Dao, Nung, La Chi, and H’mong ethnic minority groups, you will have opportunities to escape from hustle and bustle city and befriend with good-natured local people. There is no phone, no wifi, no email, there is only the friendly smile from local people that make to feel the life of peace.

Itinerary:

Travellers totally get to the peak of Chieu Lau Thi in one day.

Beginning of your journey, our motor driver will carry you pass through 10 km soil road and 10 km asphalted way. The scenery changes continuously from forests to terrace fields, terraced rice field is the evidence of the creativity and agricultural skills of the ethic communities.

It takes 1.5hrs to arrive in stop station. Start your trek route through primitive forest with diverse ecosystem like as big-old trees, valuable medicinal herds, strange flowers, small wild fruits. Don’t forget to take a deep breath to feel a pure atmosphere.

Throughout 4km of the primitive forest, you will conquer 5 small mountain tops before reaching to the Chieu Lau Thi peak. Be careful because ground is quite wet and slippery at some steep trails. Especially, a chasm on one side of mountainous wall. However you don’t need to worry because our experienced local guides are always by your side and notice each your steps. On these way, luckily you may catch some wild animals like boars, monkeys, snakes, deers or goats.

When getting to the peak, you will capture a stupendous scene and witness a sea of clouds if the weather is good. In spite of conquering the Chieu Lau Thi is not simple, but the reward is worthy.

Then, you return to stop station to have picnic lunch with local specialities. After that, our drivers will pick you up to come back the starting point.
