The Dong van Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam. Beyond the magnifiscent and breathtaking views, you will see a lot of rice fields and thousands of limestone rocks. You will also get the chance to go through Ethnic minority villages and therefore learn more about their lifestyle and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ha Giang City – Heaven Gate – Yen Minh - Dong Van

Stop At: Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Sa Phin, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
During your first day you will see a big change in the scenery when you drive into the mountains before the town of Tam Son this place is called heavens gate which is 1500 metres above sea level. This is the first peak of what will lie ahead the rest of the tour.

The tour takes you through the Karst Geopark. The Dong van Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam. You will see a lot of rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and magnifiscent views. People will be working on the land and you can catch a glimpse of life on the countryside. The driver can also take you to the Chinese border and the famous northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam. Before driving in the town of Dong Van you will make a stop at the residence of the Vuong family, which is still called “Palace of Hmong King”. The trip continues to Dong Van town. Here you can walk around town, enjoy dinner and relax

Day 2: Dong Van Town - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Mau Due Village - Du Gia Village.

Stop At: Ma Pi Leng Pass, Meo Vac, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
On this day the tour will start at Dong Van town and will stop at the famous Ma Pi Leng pass where at the bottom you can see the Nho Que river. This pass is considered amongst the most beautiful pass in Vietnam.

From there the drive will continue to Meo Vac town where you will have lunch. After lunch the tour will explore more distant villages like Mau Due and Lung Ho village. All along the way there will be plenty of stops to make beautiful pictures. This day ends at Du Gia village. Where will have a local Vietnamese dinner and stay the night.

Day 3: Du Gia - Lung Khuy Cave - Ha Giang City

Stop At: Lung Khuy Cave, National Route 4C, Quan Ba 310000 Vietnam
On the last day of the tour, after breakfast you will drive from Du Gia village to the Lung Khuy Cave. This cave is about 300m in length and was discovered in 2015. There is a short walk towards the cave which will show you some beautiful views of the countryside. In the cave you can see a lot of millions years old magnificent stalactite structures.

Lunch will be served in Tam Son Town. From there the tour will take you back through the beautiful landscape to Ha Giang City. Where you will arrive around 5p.m.
