This 3-day Ha Giang loop tour starts from Ha Giang City and will be arranged for a maximum of 8 people. You will get the most of your experience with the help of an experienced local guide and a driver trained to practice mountain roads.
You will discover the main highlights of Ha Giang including Dong Van, Meo Vac and Ma Pi Leng pass, all must-see destinations when traveling to this remote area. We are happy to arrange transportation from Hanoi by sleeper bus upon request. Let us take you to the parts others cant reach.
Itinerary
Day 1: (-1: Hanoi) Ha Giang- Meo Vac- Ma Pi Leng - Dong Van
Day 2:Dong Van Vuong Palace Yen Minh Ha Giang City
Day 3: Trekking in Ha Giang (+1: Hanoi)
NIGHT 0: HA NOI HA GIANG (320KM)
Leave Hanoi around 8.30p.m in the evening by a comfortable sleeper bus. The Motorbike Ha Giang Tour takes about 8.5 hours. Our guide and you take a taxi from your hotel to the bus station at 7:15 pm before the departure time.
DAY 1: HA GIANG QUAN BA -DONG VAN (135KM)
Arrive Ha Giang city around 5 am in the morning. We get ready and pick up our motorbikes from Ha Giang city. After sorting out with our bikes, go and get full tanks of gas for our bikes. Have our breakfast and coffee.
Leaving Ha Giang, the road climbs over the Quan Ba pass (Heavens Gate). Have a short hike to Heaven Gate to see the beautiful scenery including Quan Ba town. The road winds over a saddle and opens up on to an awesome vista.
The whole Dong Van Karst Plateau is a major heritage sight in Vietnam. You will see unending rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and breath-taking views. You can observe the life of hill-tribe villages where local people work on the land. The driver can also take you to the Chinese border and the famous northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam. Few kilometers before the Dong Van Town, we will stop in Hmong Kings Palace, a home for Voungs family in Sa Phin. Its an H mong family of high rank during French colonial rule this palace attracts keen interest from architecturally minded visitors due to its mixed style of European and Chinese architecture and the history of this land.
Sleep: If you want to experience sleep in homestay of Hmong people, explore their culture via learning their traditional music dance, wearing their traditional clothes, we will arrange sleep in Hmong Dong Van homestay.
If you want to have a comfortable and private room in Hotel, we will book room in hotel 2-3star in Dong Van.
DAY 2: DONG VAN- LUNG CU- MA PI LENG PASS- MEO VAC(AROUND 90KM)

After breakfast, we leave for Lung Cu flag pole around 8 am. Its another amazing ride. Lung Cu flag pole where is about 25km from the center of Dong Van district. Lung Cu mount is considered as a high forehead of the motherland where marks the extreme North of our country. From its top, visitors can see the whole of the beautiful and spectacular landscape. When we are in Lung Cu, we also can leave our bikes and walk to visit a small village of LO LO people one of the minority ethnic people in North Vietnam.
Turn around back to Dong Van, then, drive to the peak of Ma Pi Leng which gives stunning views of the mountains and sweeping valleys. Its the most beautiful part of the whole journey, located on the Happiness road connecting the towns of Dong Van and Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng Pass. The legendary pass is well known for craggy cliffs and breath-taking views. It is the most ragged pass in the north, often referred to as the king of the passes in Vietnam! The whole road is winding through the cliffs and overcomes Ma Pi Leng pass at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
To show you the full beauty of the pass, we will trek the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the scenery of the whole valley and Nho Que river. From the amazing mountain viewpoint, you will be able to experience a 360° panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass and take unforgettable pictures. Standing on the peak of the pass, you will feel overwhelmed by the majestic space of mountains and rivers.
We will continue our journey to more distant villages. From there, you will know how people live in remote parts of Vietnam.

DAY 3: MEO VAC HA GIANG (150KM)
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Leave Meo Vac around 7 am in the morning after our breakfast. On the third day of your journey we will take the road back to Ha Giang. But it doesnt mean the end of attractions! The route from Meo Vac Ha Giang is so amazing with the huge rock mountain and winding pass. We could visit and play with local children or school beside the route, the ethnic children in here are very friendly and lovely.
If its Sunday, you can have the chance to enjoy the unique and special local Market in Meo Vac, it only happens on Sunday and be called SUNDAY MARKET. There are very colorful and various culture of ethnic minorities, it will be a special experience for you.
You will stop at Lùng Tám village where Mong ethnic people live. You can learn the way to make the traditional craft and clothes by hemp and draw the pattern by bee wax of Hmong people.
We expect to arrive at Ha Giang around 5:00 pm. Take plenty of breaks on the way back. Wash up and have dinner at a local restaurant, then return our bikes at the bike rental place. Our sleeper bus leaves at 8:00 pm.
We begin our journey back to Hanoi with a good night sleep on the bus. Arrive Hanoi at 5:00 am on the next day.
