Hanoi Street Food Tour By Bike

Our bicycle street-food tour is great for experiencing Vietnam’s healthy street food culture. You will learn about some of the fresh ingredients and methods for preparing Hanoi’s famous street foods and home-cooked meals.

What you see and do:

• Bicycling on and under the historic Long Bien Bridge, then ride through banana plantations near the Red River.

• Relax at our local garden farm, learning about vegetables grown for Hanoi homes.

• Wind through alleys and street markets, where locals shop every morning.

• Cycle around Hanoi’s biggest lake, the West Lake, trying delicious foods.

• Bike distance: 30 km (6-7 hours).

8:30 Meet at COTERO cafe, 22 NGUYEN TRUNG TRUC street.

8:45 Start the bike ride. We will ride on Long Bien bridge, the oldest bridge in Hanoi, which was designed by Eiffel in 1902.

9:30 Visiting a family on the island in the middle of Red river. You can see the vegetable and banana, longan fruit…growing on this island. This island is like another world compare to a busy city of Hanoi, people here are working hard and farming by the old technology, everything is done by hand.

10:00 Ride back to the city and bike through a small market in the alley where the local people here shop their food everyday. Many of the vegetable in this market come from the island that you just ride through.

10:30 Biking around the West lake, the biggest lake in Hanoi. Around the lake, there are so many restaurants and coffee shops, numbers of which are very good. We will taste different dishes here like Banh Cuon (steamed rice paper rolling minced pork and mushroom), Bun cha (grilled pork and rice noodle), Pho Cuon (steamed rice paper rolling with beef and vegetable. Then we visit a shop that make cakes of herbal flavors and buy some for our dessert. We ride to a famous bread shop and get what you want. At the end, we will ride to a coffee shop where we can enjoy a cup of Vietnamese’s coffee and our dessert here.
