Overnight Mai Chau Pu Luong Trekking Tour

On this overnight trekking tour, you will have the opportunity to visit Poom Coong village in Mai Chau and Pu Luong Nature Reserve. You will also get to stop by Kho Muong village, Pho Doan Market and Thanh Hoa to get close to nature and local people in the charming green region of Mai Chau.

Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Pu Luong((~ 170 km, about 3 - 4 hrs)(L, D)

You will be picked up at your hotel at 7.00am in Hanoi by your experienced driver and our guide and you'll head on to Mai Chau. On the way to Mai Chau valley, you will have a chance to view stunning scenery along the way. There are spectacular views along highway 6 to Muong Khen.

At around noon, you will arrive at Poom Coong village. There, you will take a short visit to local village, then take part in the other activities in tour itinerary. Visit the local Thai people to know more about their unique house structure and design - namely houses-on-stilts and communicate with friendly local people. After kick-off time, we have a lunch break in this village and take a rest for revive energy for afternoon's activities.

In the afternoon, there will be a short transfer to the Pu Luong area. Then we start hiking to Kho Muong village for the night. Upon arrival in Kho Muong village, your host family for the night will welcome you, and you will have free time to take rest or walk around the village before cleaning up and enjoying a traditional dinner in this typical Thai stilt house.

Day 2: Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Thanh Hoa - Hanoi (B, L)

We will begin the second day tour early. Enjoy fresh air on early morning in Mai Chau valley and have a light breakfast. After breakfast, we start the day trek. We will continue on through this beautiful valley, unspoiled villages with nice view of karst mountains and a lot of green rice terraces. During harvesting season, you will be impressed by the yellow rice fields. Then, you will get to experience the daily life of the local people and explore the outdoor market culture of Mai Chau. After we arrive at Pho Doan market after 3-4 hours trekking, we will have a typical Vietnamese lunch break. In the afternoon our driver will pick us up and transfer us back to Hanoi by 7pm.
